YIKES!

So I haven't written on this thing in, like, forever. So what happens now? I didn't enter either of the writing contests (Whoops...), haven't started on the reading and am falling behind on the blogging. So will I just not be counted for this term or what? Because I'm pretty sure I'll be able to pick back up next term it's just been so... I don't know--BLEEEH this term. Ick.

Well, anyways, enough with that subject.

Christmas was awesome! Even though I don't really understand why my family celebrates it since we're not Christian... oh well! It's still fun! I'd have to say that the best part was when my mom saw all the gifts for her that hadn't been out the night before. I mean, I've never really ever had money to get my mom real gifts before, so being able to get her $200+ in merchandise was wicked awesome.

From Santa, I got Rockband2 and a silver snowflake necklace with crystals. From my mom, I got the books Sucks to Be Me by Kimberly Pauley, Savvy... by someone whose name has been forgotten, and Skinned that has had its author ALSO forgotten! XD Smart me... I also got some theater makeup, a magazine subscription, and a sewing machine. There were also a couple of games and they've been MEGA fun to play. In fact, after this I think I'll go play Bananagrams. :D

My dad got me $175 which has been almost completely used on getting new clothes, makeup, and hair stuff. And I'm hoping to get some books before I spend all of my moolah. Yeah, you could say that I suck at saving money.

I seriously cannot even wait to go see Marley and Me--got the book for Christmas last year and I reeeeeaaaallly can't wait to see if the movie is anywhere near as good as I've been told it is.

...Guess that's it for now! Hopefully I can come up with more things to write about sometime soon!

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the break!

Story In The Making

So, my next Twilight rant has taken me a little longer than expected to write--still working on it even. So, instead, I guess I'll be putting up a story I have to write for my English class. (It's still in the making, too. :D)

Becoming Pandora
Greenhill, Illinois
1940

“Adam,” Marri whispered in the cold of the night. “Adam, wake up! We’re leaving” She shoved her younger brother slightly, causing him to stir in his sleep. “Adam!” She said impatiently, forcing his eyelids apart with her thumbs and index fingers.

“What?” Adam groaned, trying to pull away from his sister.

“We’ve got to go! They said they’re sending me away since I’m almost fifteen!” Marri hissed, urgency clear in her voice.

Adam opened his eyes and look around, taking in his surroundings. No light seep in from the broken screened windows; no conversations could be heard, even through the thing wall that separated the boy’s room from the girls of the orphanage.

“Whatever it is, Marri, I bet it can wait until sun up.” He groaned, pulling his scratchy wool blanket up to his chin, only to have Marri yank it off his bed entirely.

“No it can’t, Adam! They could send me off to a work house in the morning, and you and I both know that they would never let you come with me. Now get up! We’ve got to get going!” Finally paying attention, Adam kicked his legs over the edge of the bed, making as little noise as possible.

* * *

In as little as five minutes, the Treft siblings were packed and ready to leave the orphanage. Quiet as mice, the two tiptoed down the hallways of the orphanage, skipped the one squeaking stair on their way out, and opened the door without a sound.

Cold air met their faces as they stepped out onto the streets of Greenhill, Illinois. Marri let thoughts take over her mind—they were out of the orphanage, but now what? Where would they go? How would they earn money? Surely they couldn’t go around breaking the law and steal from others, but they’d have to find out something.

“Where are we going to go, Marri?” Adam squeaked from behind her. His feet shuffled quickly to keep up with his sister, his elder of eight years. Her legs were much longer than his, making him have to nearly run to keep up with her.

“I’ll walk slower, sorry, I was thinking.” Marri said, avoiding his question. Where would they go? Another orphanage or an actual work house? They could always beg for sympathy… but what if that ended them up getting set apart? What if Marri got sent to a workhouse and Adam to an orphanage?

“Marri, I’m practically sleepwalking. Can’t we find somewhere to sleep?” Adam begged. Marri looked down at him, walking quickly by her side. Her knapsack strung over his shoulder with his belongings in it. When Adam had said he had nothing to keep his belongings in, Marri offered her bag to him—making it so she had to pack her things into the empty Pancake box she had found in the orphanage kitchen.

“Just a little longer, Adam, and then we’ll find somewhere to rest.” Train horns could be heard in the distance, away from the city part of the state. “Adam,” Marri whispered.

“What is it?” Adam replied, when he spoke, it was clear that he was dog-tired.

“Do you ever think about mom and dad?” Tears welled up in her eyes, forcing her to blink and let them fall. Adam didn’t look at his sister, but he shrugged.

“I suppose so. I never really knew them, so I don’t know.” Marri could hear longing in her younger brother’s voice. Their parents had died only a year or so after he’d been born, or so Marri was told. She’d never really seen their bodies or been given details on the death.

“Would you like me to tell you a story about them?” She looked down at Adam as he nodded his head vigorously. “Alright. One December, many, many years ago, it snowed, just before Christmas and mom and dad had taken you and I out ice skating on the lake. Of course, you didn’t skate, dad held you…”

Twilight (WARNING TO ALL TWI-HARDS: BLOG CONTAINS NOT VERY NICE WORDS TO TWILIGHT MOVIE)

Twilight.

We've all heard about it--how could we not? It's the cliche predator falls for prey. Gary-Stue falls for Mary-Sue.

People picture themselves being these two characters. People fantasize about having this story be their own. Why?

It's all sugar coated and happy-ending. I can't get over the sugar shock.

I honestly, personally, think Bella should have died at the end of Eclipse--or the middle of Breaking Dawn... I read all of the books because, when I started reading them back in... 2006... maybe 2005, I was in love with the books.

One time shortly after we discovered the series (back before it was popular) we went over to my grandma's house and were talking about the book. She thought it was weird that we liked it--vampires? Whatever.

Last night we went over to that very same grandmother's house for Thanksgiving dinner and games--she told us she'd seen Twilight twice. She loves the books now. She's absolutely obsessed with them. Well, she decided it was time to go for a third time. (My cousin Hailey has already seen it four times--fifth time is going to be later on today.)

Well, I thought it was going to be me, my mom, my sisters, and my grandma going to go see it. Turns out it was me, my mom, my sisters, my grandma, my step dad, my grandpa, my (somehow related to me, but I don't know how) Dorothy, my aunt, and my cousin Ella. Making a total group of thirteen people.

When we got to the theater my grandma was ranting on and on about how great the movie is/was and how we were going to love it if not absolutely adore it.

I think the movie could have been a thousand times better--at the very least.

Maybe it's just my personal view of it. Maybe it's the fact that I was obsessed with it long enough a few years back that I've got the flow of Twilight memorized and knew exactly what was different from the book. I knew the lines that were different, I knew that Lauren wasn't in it, either... which was kind of weird seeing how she's kind of a main supporting character...

Well, after the movie when the credits were rolling, my grandma turned around in her seat and asked us, "What did you think about the movie?" In her very excited oh, I know you loved it voice.

When I said it was okay, she turned to Dorothy and told her what I said and then they went into a conversation on how much they adored it. (Remember, these are two grandmothers, so it's really kind of ridiculous.)

Well, anyways... I was really disappointed with the movie. Twilight was a good book, it wore off of me, but that doesn't mean it wasn't good.

The movie could have been better. Carlisle couldn't have looked more like Jasper if he'd tried. Edward's legs when he was running couldn't have looked more retarded even if he'd tried.

Well, I'm done with talking about Twilight in a bad way now, guess I'll talk about the highlights for a few minutes and then start talking about the settings.

Ashley Greene was a marvelous pick for Alice--as was Nikki Reid for Rosalie. I don't think Jackson Rathbone was the best Jasper out there, and Dennis Quaid would have made a much better Charlie. Oh, wait... highlights... right... back to the highlights.

The graduation cap gag was awesome, I loved it. The chemistry between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart was really pretty good, better than I had expected.

Michael Welch was a good choice for Mike, had me laughing nearly every time he showed.

The Cullen's cooking scene was awesome. Loved every second of it.

And that's really all I can think of for the highlights.

Alright, on to what I thought of the settings:

Charlie's house was nothing like I had pictured it to be. I pictured it being a small little blue house surrounded by trees so dense that there could be no neighbors in sight. When I read Twilight for the first time, I could just picture walking up the steps of the house opening the blue, paint chipped door and stepping into the greyish-blue carpeted living room.

The living room was connected to the dining room and kitchen, both the the left of when you walked in. There was a small, wearing leather, brown couch in front of an old TV set. There was an old, greyish-blue plaid recliner to the right.

When you turn to the left and enter the dining room/kitchen, you'd see a dark brown wooden table on white linoleum floors. The walls were brown diamonds filled with a light shade of yellow. On the same side of the house as the door was a window on the far left, before the window was a stainless steel sink.

There were cabinets all around above the counters which were found on either side of the sink, about three--four-ish feet apart so multiple people could be working in there at a time. The pantry was kinda parallel to the TV, but also kind of at an angle.

Walking back into the living room from the kitchen, just a few feet behind the recliner are the stairs. Old and squeaking. There are grooves in the wood from years of use and spots with crayon drawings along the edge of where the stairs met the wall from when Bella was little. The rail is a fading brown and smooth.

Oh yeah, the walls of the living room/stairs/hallway are a light greenish/greyish/blue.

The floor of the hallway is the same fading brown wood as the stairs. There are four doors on this level, one barley a foot wide at the head of the stairs--a coat closet on the right side of the hall.

On the left side of the hall is a white bedroom door--Charlie's room. It's about the size of an average living room with a large, not quite a walk in, closet. There's a large bed with light brown comforters, chocolate brown pillows, and a dark brown head and base board. The walls are a dark brown and the floor is a light tan, soft carpet. There's a window near the bed and the floor in front of it is slightly fading.

Walking out of Charlie's room there's a door straight across from you--a white wooden door--Bella's room. The walls are a light yellowish color (only for the first few weeks Bella is there, Charlie later helps her paint the walls baby blue.) and the floor a light bluish soft carpet. There's a light wooden rocking chair with a little pink blanket in the seat of it. Behind the chair is a wide window--the kind with a seat in it. On the window seat is a little stuffed bear from when Bella was little.

Next to the window is a small computer desk--on it is an old Dell PC and a bright, bright lamp with a black neck and base. There's a closet behind the rocking chair. Parallel from the closet is a small twin size bed with a wooden bottom-bunk-like frame. There's dark blue blankets and pillows on the bed with floral embroidery.

There's a laundry basket at the end of the bed, along with her bags she brought from Arizona.

Leaving Bella's room you find the bathroom door (white and wooden!) to your right. Opening it you see a small bathroom with a small counter/sink kind of thing next to the toilet which is right next the the tub/shower. The walls are off white and the floors are grey tiled. The shower curtain is a light and dark blue plaid pattern.

Leaving the upper level and back down to the living room, behind the TV there's a closet-type door. Behind it is the laundry room in there, along with the machines, is a sliding glass door that leads to the back yard.

In the back yard there is no fence--just trees. There's a little cement porch--cracking due to weathering and weeds. On one of the largest trees just across from Charlie's bedroom windows is a tire swing, one that Bella used to always play on when she was little.

Alright... well... I think that's really all the setting I should go into for now--describing the house alone could have been a blog on it's own.

Next blog: The Cullen's house.

After that: Forks High.

After that: The baseball field.

After that: The cafe.

Well, that's it for now. Toodilu! :D

(This blog was one thousand-four hundred-forty-two words long.)

Need... To... Blog...

Okay, so, I feel like I've been really neglecting my blog... and my writing practices... crap. What to write about? What to write about? What to write about? Why can't I find something to write about?! Grr.... Right now I'm watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade... I wish I could be there--that'd be so freaking wicked awesome.

Let's see, how about I put down a summary of what I've done this month? Nah. That's boring.

Oh! Right! That dream I was talking about! All I remember now is that it ended with Scooby and Shaggy behind a clothing store. It was raining and Shaggy found a cardboard box that Scooby could get in without getting wet. The box was absolutely disgusting, filled with rotting fruit and stuff. Gross.

Well, as it turns out, Scooby is OCD. He took the box, cleaned it, and then it turned into a sparkling clean cookiesheet... weird...

Well, somehow I remember using that cookie sheet as a weapon of sorts...

Can't really remember.

Gotta go help my chi chi dry her hair now!

Au revoir!

Back To The Dream

Alright, now, back to the dream! I've got twenty minutes before I have to catch the bus!

Anyways, I left off with who was in the dream, yeah? Okay, well, onto what actually HAPPENED then!

Okay, so, the dream started with the school fire alarm going off, a huge group of us were in the cafeteria, it looked like we were rehearsing for Dinner Theater--but the costumes were much more extreme, and in Henry VI, act I, scene III, there was really blood. Heh heh heh... the things that can happen in my dreams, but not in real life. Well, it could happen, but I don't think Austin's family would be very happy with Mr. Unicorn Ninja at that point.

So, mostly everyone rushes out of the cafeteria as they've been taught to do. When I say mostly, I mean me, Booty, Mr. Unicorn Ninja, Mr. T, and some people who I can't really remember all that well stayed behind.

When I looked around at my surroundings, I saw that we were no longer in the school cafeteria, but on some dock in a swampy looking place.

Whoops! Gotta go. Maybe next time I should stick to writing my blog only when I have a limited amount of time. :P

Uh-Oh! Haven't Blogged For Nearly Two Weeks--OOPS!

Sorry that I haven't blogged in so long, not that I need to apologize to anyone for that. I've been kind of busy, well, I don't know if busy is the right word... absorbed in life is probably the better term, I've been so caught up with everything else that I haven't stopped to take the time to write! How terribly sad!

Anyways, last night I had a WICKED dream! Well... it was rather a dorky dream, I mean, it was basically about this secret organization that was kind of like ninjas... Well, anyways, no one really knows about this group until you're requested to be in it--they only choose people who they know would accept to be in the group.

Well, before I get ahead of myself, I'm going to tell you a little bit about the cast in my dream. The leader of these ninja-esk people was a Mr. Thompson-esk guy. It was kind of weird. Mr. Unicorn Ninja guy can finally gloat that he's been in more than just Miranda's (Sorry chica, you've tempted me way too much to not use that name. :P), Nettie's (at least I think he was in one of her dreams... can't really remember now, for sure. >.<), and Lauryn's dreams. Yeah, you were the big stupid guy who was semi-sorta in the ninja group, but not really because you wouldn't get the code tattooed on the back of your neck. Your reasons were the following:
Either, A, you're mom would see it; B, visible tattoos aren't allowed at school; or, C, you didn't want a needle that close to your paper-thin skull. (Just kidding about that last reason... sorry... I really felt like putting that in. No offense! :P)

Let's see... who else was in the dream... Can't remember, well, besides me--OH! Booty (Don't know any other nickname to give you, chica, we need to come up with one.) was in the dream, too! She was the awesome-bass-kick-your-butt girl of the group. There were quite a few other people in the dream as well, but I can't remember if they were real or made up.

Anyways, gotta go catch the bus! I'll have to write more about the dream later! Toodles!

Boy, Oh Boy.

Whoa. Tonights performance was wicked. Not really, it was The Twelve Dancing Princesses, but the show was still wicked awesome! Ten billion times better than I thought it would be--and that's no exaggeration. :P

Sure there were some forgotten lines here and there, I'm not particularly fond of my dress, and some of the notes were off or totally ignored--but, oh well. Those sort of things happen on opening night, right?

I'm so freaking happy! Believe it or not, that was really my first performance in an actual play. Of course there were the little ones we did in drama club in the fifth and sixth grade... but I don't really count those, some people might, but I don't. I'm so happy!

And this is only the first show I'm going to be in this month! We've still got Dinner Theater! And, while I don't have a leading role in TTDP, I've got one of the biggest roles in Dinner Theater! Hip, hip, hoorah!

Well, anyways... I really should be getting to bed--I'm whipped. Well, not really. I'm just lonely down here--everyone else is in bed and I'm just down here all on my lonesome... le sigh.

Not to mention I'm wide awake.

Time to go read Duma Key--Toodles!

Closing In On Me

New month, new color.

There are times in life when you feel as if the walls are just closing in on you, making you curl up as small as possible, wishing that you

Just.
Just. Weren't.
Just. Weren't. There.

Today, I'm having one of those days. I dare not say anything for fear of insulting someone--but I fear not saying anything and then hurting someone by staying silent. Why does life have to be so difficult? Why can't there just be times when everything is as easy as can be? Did those times fly away with childhood? Away with imaginary friends and fantastical quests?

I wish I could have woken up yesterday and changed what I'd done--maybe things would be different, then. What if I had prevented the whole thing in the first place by doing what someone else should have done the night before but was too tired to do so?

Why do some people have to hold grudges?

I wish people would just let you in their heads, you know?

Don't really feel like writing anymore.

Bye Bye Halloween--Until Next Year!

Ever since I was little, Halloween has been my favorite holiday--sure it's not the safest one, especially for me, but I love it. Throughout the years I've been a cow, a dalmation, a witch, a sorceress (yeah, there's a difference.), a singer, a pirate, a clown, a zombie, Mulan, Queen Amidalla or whatever it is from Star Wars... yeah... I love Halloween, it's wicked.

This year I was a zombie and the costume was put together in less than two hours--that's not to say that it was lame or anything, we just didn't end up buying costumes this year and didn't really have the time to put them together before Halloween.

So, on Friday we started with waking up--duh. We gutted the pumpkins and then carved them, see, we really didn't have much time for Halloween this year. After that, that had basically taken all day, we started brainstorming costume ideas and came up with zombies. Now it wasn't like, Ooh, mega original--WHOA. No. We basically did the classic zombie costume.

We took some of my step-dad's wool sweaters that he never wears and then shredded them. After that, we each found a pair of jeans that we didn't really wear anymore, but still fit us, and shredded them, too. (Oh, and when I say we, I mean my little sister J-Bird and I.) After that I went up to my room, grabbed my handy-dandy little black comb, and went to work on ratting J's hair.

After we finished ratting our hair more than I've ever ratted anyone elses hair (and, trust me, I've ratted a lot of people's hair. Did you go see Thriller earlier this Spring performed by Girls Choir at the Pops Concert? Yeah. I ratted quite a few people's hair for that.) Anyways, long story short, we made our shoulder length, straight hair into nests.

We went outside and threw the fallen leaves in the air, letting them fall back down and land on us. We did that for a bit and then went up to my mom's bathroom and used her expensive hairspray which made the leaves and hair
stay in place.

When we finished with that, we came back downstairs into the kitchen and did our make up--pale faces (didn't take much work seeing as we're already pale-pale.), dark circles around the eyes, stitches on the lips, trickling blood down the face--and in my case on my shoulder, too.

So, yeah, that's basically how we did our costumes. It took for-freaking-ever! But it was still fun. Can't wait to see what I end up doing next year!

Ciao!

NANOWRIMO! (Honors Blog #... 7?)

Okay, so, this year I'm participating in NaNoWriMo! Yay woohoo! I've got the basic plot outlined for it, but nothing for chapters... which I need to get ready soon... I'll work on it Saturday during the really long play rehearsal. Fun... Really, it is! But I probably won't end up writing much... no! Never mind! I take that back! I will get the chapter outline finished and hopefully quite a few hundred words of the basic story.

I already know that the story is going to open with the main character, Aribelle Kingston, staring out the window of her second story apartment that overlooks the busy streets below. She's wondering when her fiance, Tyson Rodriguez, is going to return home. Breaks into the next chapter when Ari gets a call from her soon-to-be mother- or father-in-law asking her to meet them down at the police headquarters to identify the corpse of Tyson Rodriguez.

I've had a few friends read over the basic idea and they've all liked it... but I'm afraid I might ruin it! Yikes!

Gotta go!

Student of the Month

Today was so slow! Well, the school part was at least, because the night has so far flown by like the wind! Came home, did my homework, then chores, played outside, mom came home, I played some Fable, did some dishes, and I'm now typing up this blog and watching my madre play Fable!

Oh, and I forgot to mention up there, right after my chores were done, I checked the mail.

Normally, that wouldn't be a big thing, but today that absolutely made my day!

Last year, both my older sisters Izzi and Kat made Student of the Month--Izzi for art and Kat for yearbook. So, of course, at the beginning of this year, I felt the pressure. I feared that I'd go the entire year barely getting A's and making it through with my ever-so-common 3.333 GPAs.

But, today in the mail, was a letter hand addressed to my mother from my school--looked just the same as the ones Izzi and Kat got for Students of the Month last year.

So, I brought the mail in, smiling.

Me: Izzi, Kat!
Izzi: What?
Me: Okay, nevermind, Kat. Izzi, is this what your student of the month envelope looked like last year?
Izzi: (Something along these lines, can't remember exactly) I don't know.
Me: Fine then. Kat, what about you?
Step Dad: Mimi, let me see the mail.
Me: Okay.

--A few minutes later--

Step Dad: Hey, Mimi, there's a letter here for you/
Me: Really? I thought I looked through them all...
Step Dad: No, it's right here.
Me: Cool.

So, I take the letter and at the top it says something along the lines of CONGRATULATIONS MIMI! YOU'VE BEEN CHOSEN AS STUDENT OF THE MONTH IN THE DRAMA DEPARTMENT! And then I know that he opened mom's letter... so, of course, I was a little let down.

I mean, mom had huge reactions for Izzi and Kat before they even KNEW they'd made student of the month. So, I did the logical thing and went outside to play soccer and volleyball with my dogs.

Well, when my mom came home, I went inside and told her that my step dad opened her letter.

Mom: What letter?
Me: Oh, it's there on the desk. But, like I said, he already opened it.
Mom: What is it... It's from your school.
Me: Yeah... it is. (Said this kind of guiltily.)
Mom: What'd you... Mimi! Student of the month? I'm so proud of you!

So, yeah, I've been really happy all evening and everything has just soared by. E! I'm so happy! Well, I'm off to go do well... something! Maybe listen to music or read... or I could finish memorizing my cues for Dinner Theater... I might just go and sleep... I'm tired.

INSIDE JOKE OF THE DAY: Hey there's a pig--oh it's you!

Well, bye!

It's The Twitchy Mimi Show!

Hey hey, everybod-ay! :P It's Mimi--and... Twitchy! That's right, folks, Twitchy and I are now hosting our own blog post--TOGETHER! Oh, my wowzers!

This is the voice of death. Kidding! *mostly...* It's TWITCHY!!!!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA So what now, huh punks? Huh? Huh? He he he hehehehehehhe....

Oh, the level of illiteracy! My blog! My poor, poor blog!

Not to make me feel bad or anything right there....

Sorry, chicalita! It's just the way the pants fit... or the wind blows... or the banana splits... Either way. And--on a different note--anybody else notice how we're totally going Bronco colors here? Ha ha... Yeah--that wasn't purposeful--Twitchy just chose blue for her color. :P

Are you implying that my pants don't fit me properly? Geez...I got 'em at Walmart, okay? They were on sale!

If that's how you want to take it, Twitchy, that's perfectly fine. Again, on another note, squirrels are no longer the light of my life.

Oh, I see how it is. I'm gonna take a stab in the dark here...sorry 'bout that...didn't mean to hit you there...and say that the light of your life would be...oh, I don't know...in a WHEEL CHAIR?! MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! In a good way.

Oh! The pain! The humanity! Where has it all gone? Where is all the LITERACY?

...
Jim Carrey is in a wheel chair? How'd you manage that?

...
And why exactly does my English class have to be so lame?

Have you checked your back pocket?
Yes. Yes he is. Fords are powerful things, Mimi. They can go places. *taha taha*
Well...maybe it's not the ENGLISH CLASS, hmm? Ever thought of THAT?! MWAHAHAHAHAHa in a good way.

LITERACY, LITERACY, LITERACY! Must I pronounce it out for you? Lit-er-a-cy! And, no, I have not checked my pockets seeing as I will be changing into my Happy Bunneh pajamas in a few minutes. I will then, though.

Harrison Ford is NOT a thing! Well... yeah he is... he's a human... and an actor... and he's sixty-six... But he's still a good actor--not saying that old people aren't good actors or anything... but... yeah... I think I'm going to put a close on that topic now.

No. It's the English class--trust me on that. You wouldn't know because your English teacher is awesome! (That was NOT a suck up comment there! It's just the truth.) dI tried to switch out of my class, but... well, apparently I have to go through this whole process and file a complaint against Mrs. A and how she's not suited to be my teacher... Grr... And I refuse to do this because I hate offending people... grr...

You? Refuse to offend people? When did this happen? :D Kidding... he he he he he hehehhehehehehe....

Harrison Ford is a man. A MANLY man. So ha.

I know my English teacher is awesome. That's a fact of life. What now, huh? Mwahahahahahahhahaha!!! In a good way...

I don't refuse--I just try not to.

I give up; sorry, but you'll never be truly literate.

And...okay, yah yah yah yah yah yah you're right. Mwahahahahahahhahahahaha in a good way...

...Okay, nobody should be surprised if Twitchy doesn't ride the bus tomorrow (or any other day in the future), okay?

That means you, Thomas.

Er... Thomas? That's my madre's maiden name.

THOMAS THE TRAIN!!!!! um...rides the bus... in a good way...

Huh. Must be a big bus.

Not really. Thanks.

You're welcome!

Okay... we need to get this conversation rolling along again! So... what do you think about skating?

Did you know.... that JANITORS HAVE ARMS?

Yeah... uh huh... Except for the handicapped ones. Hand capes would be weird... whoa... they would...

Anyways... Twitchy... what's with the radioactive comment from Anonymous?

Um...nothing...that was just my alter ego, Helen.

Like Keller? Helen Keller? I watched a show about her once... Yeah... she was deaf and blind--that'd be a weird life to live, don't you think?

Ha! JOKE TIME!!!

How did Helen Keller's parents punish her?

...
...
...
OH! I know this one! Here we go...

First off, they put bamboo beneath her nails--EVIL--the next thing they do is make her sit in a room full of COUNTRY MUSIC--that she can't even hear! Then they give her a little brother. :P

Uh...no...
Good try?

THEY PUT A HOT IRON ON THE TOILET SEAT!!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! In a good way.

Err... BURN--literally!

Well, guess what--that's the end of this. Twitchy is over here at Mimi's house--duh--DON'T TRY TO FIND US! And we're now going to go eat some Shepards Pie!

Au revoir!

Lions, Gazelles, and Kitty-Cats--Oh My!

Little kids. (NOT goats!)

Aren't they just so cute? I love being around them--I mean, they're so small, and full of life, and imaginative... I miss being like that, being so care free and ignorant. I wish I could have had a longer childhood...

I used to babysit these three little kids, their names were Em, Ethan, and Adam. Em was the cutest, soccer-playing-but-hated-playing, intelligent, eight-year-old girl. Ethan had his annoying moments, but most of the time he was just a fun little seven-year-old to be around. Adam... well, Adam was Adam. He hated sitting still for longer than three minutes and loved Disney shows. Yeah, pure torture there.

I babysat these kids over the course of about fourteen months, we got so close that they soon began saying I was like the older sister they never had. I loved being looked up to, it was freaking wicked. I loved babysitting these kids, they were awesome.

Then towards the end of last year, they moved. Far, far away where I wouldn't really be able to come and babysit seeing as the drive from my house to theirs is now about four hundred twenty miles... yeah... I won't be surprised if I never see them again.

But, even so, I'll most likely never forget these kids. They had a big impact on my life, they made me more caring and sensitive towards others.

I remember one particular night around Christmas of 2006... Their parents had gone out for some last minute shopping and didn't expect to be home for a few hours. So, being the imaginative little children they were, they decided we would play a game of Zoo.

Now, you see, Zoo isn't really the easiest game in the world to play--especially not when you've been release out into the wild living room. There are certain rules an animal (Em was a lion, Ethan was a gazelle, and, cute little kid, Adam was a kitty-cat. They had me be the Zoo Keeper.) must pertain to in the wild living room. For example: No gazelles are allowed on couches, beneath piano's, or on/in the restricted kitchen counters/cupboards. No lions or gazelles are allowed to pick on younger kitty-cats, and lions are to be polite and kind to gazelles and kitty-cats--no biting.

I miss those kids a lot... I miss being actually looked up to... Oh well, they get to see their dad more now, though, so I guess it's a good thing they moved to where they did so they could see him more often--I'm just selfish.

What Did I Do Today?

So, today I woke up just as I usually do--around six AM--but then I went back to sleep because I was too tired to actually get up. When I actually woke up around eight-thirty, I came downstairs thinking that today was going to be just another boring day in my life.

Turns out it wasn't--first we took the old bunk bed that we've had for as long as I can remember to one of those donation stores... it was kind of sad to see it go, I mean, we had our own little game we played--we hung blankets from where the top bunk was supported and called them our offices. We taped little paper mailboxes to the blankets where we would receive messages from others--talking wasn't really allowed at work.

So, I was really kind of sad to see that metal, white bunk bed frame go... I feel like childhood is just being whisked away from under my feet, like I've reached the last chapter of the first book of my life.

Anyways, after that, we went to the dump to get rid of all our plants from this year that wouldn't just grow back. We did the real work yesterday, tearing it all out and loading it on the trailer... It's kind of sad, too, to see all that hard work just be thrown out, you know?

After that we went home, dropped the trailer so my step dad could load the four wheelers on to it, and then my mom, sisters, and I went to go get some milkshakes. Before going home, we stopped by the same donation store to donate some clothes that my little sisters no longer wear.

Then we noticed that across the street in the Sam's Club parking lot, a smoke was being emitted from a car. Lots of smoke. There was also a firetruck right next to it.

So, knowing that it could explode any minute, we did the logical thing and drove across the street and parked a few parking spaces away, watching the firefighters hit the hood of the car over and over again to get it open... yeah... it wasn't really all that fun. Twisted because we were sitting there, eating icecream, and watching some guy's day take a turn for the worst as his car was being destroyed and there was nothing he could do to stop it.

When we went home, we waited about twenty minutes and then left to go fourwheeling. I've always loved fourwheeling... it's one of my many favorites.

The ride was cold. Mega cold. We went up one of the canyons just a few miles away from the school I--and many of the others, if not all, who read my blog--go to. We went all the way up the trail--halfway up there was mega snow, slush even.

There were no accidents or anything whatsoever this time--it was wicked. Yay woohoo! I also figured out how to coast on the fourwheeler I used--but my thumb still is numb! Eek!

We got home a few hours ago, changed out of my wet clothes and into some pajamas... Moo ha ha--they have cares on them, and they're blue. I'm also wearing my Elmo socks... they don't have Elmo on them, they just look like Elmo. They're red and fluffy. Yay. :P

Anyways, I'm going to go play games with the family now before the parentals play Halo and then I go up to my room and read.

Toodilu!

Oh My Wowzers.

Yowch. I think I might possibly fail theater, now. I got the role of Queen Elizabeth for Dinner Theater. I don't know if I'll be able to pull it off... maybe... I don't know.

I was going to read through the script and read through my role... but, unfortunately, I left my script in Twitchy's bag when we went to the game yesterday. Oops.

So, now, here I am--stressed a bit about my part, script-less, and I also have to still get a dress for the other show I'll be participating in. Ugh.

I guess I'm going to be pretty dang tight with Mr. Invisible Man by the end of The Twelve Dancing Princesses... Mr. Francesco won't be back on his leg and dancing for a while--not that I'm mad at him for that or anything, I mean, it's not that what was wrong with his knee was under his control or anything. So yeah... that was a really ugly sentence right there...

I kinda wish we had school today... I mean, I want to see what parts everybody else got for Dinner Theater... but I didn't have time to exactly look at the list. I should have taken a picture of it with my phone. Ha ha... yeah, how come I always come up with these ideas afterwards?

I'm really kind of nervous about Dinner Theater because it looks like I'm one of the few people in there that have never even gone to see one. Yikes. Also, a lot of people who are participating in this years Dinner were in Dinner Theater last year. Hopefully I don't stick out from the rest like a sore thumb.

Anyways, that's it for now, I think I'm going to go read outside or play with the dogs or something... Bye!

I'm So Happy, Oh So Happy!

Okay, so, I know that those aren't really the real lyrics to the song, but... Oh well! I'm so freaking happy!Guess why? I'll give you a few minutes to guess while I ramble on and on about how happy I am!

So today was a pretty bad day... I worried about my little cousin (she's only about four) for a while... a lot during choir because of the little monkey we had visiting us... Yeah, she and Lily would be good friends... Anyways, Lily's got leukemia--she's the cutest little kid you've ever seen, at first glance, you'd never guess she's so, so sick. She was diagnosed over a year ago and is currently in the hospital and is in critical conditions... I hope she'll be okay.

Alright, so, I know this may seem really twisted, but I'm amazingly mega-super happy! It's so wickedly awesome!

Fact: The highlight of my day was when I opened an envelope containing a letter addressed to moi!

Here's what the letter said:

Dear Mimi,

After carefully reading and discussing your poem, our Selection Committee has certified your poem as a semi-finalist in our International Open Poetry Contest. Your poem will automatically be entered into the final competition held in November 2008. As a semi-finalist, you now have an excellent chance of winning one of 104 cash or gift prizes--including the $1000.00 Grad Prize. You may even win the $10,000.00 Annual Grand Prize! We wish you the best of luck as you compete for these prizes in the coming weeks.

So there's part of the reason why I'm so FREAKING happy! Here's the other bit.

On receiving this letter I checked the email account I set up for this website, what else do I find in my inbox than an email from Poetry.Com?

Here's what it said:

Office of the Publisher
Poetry Division
London, U.K.
13 October 2008

Dear Mimi,

As you may know, Noble House is one of the foremost publishers of fiction and nonfiction works by new and established authors today. Our international poetry division has had the honour of publishing thousands of poems over the past twelve years.

Recently, I had the pleasure of reading the poetry that you have had published in the United States. I congratulate you on this grand endeavour, and propose to you that your singular talent and vision deserves appropriate international recognition as well.

For this reason, I have posted this letter to request your permission to include one of your favourite poems in Favourite Memories - a new poetry edition that is being distributed worldwide by Noble House . . . a collection of poetry that is perhaps unlike any you have ever seen . . . one where each poem is featured on its own page, and one whose quality is reminiscent of the finest 19th century antique poetry books.

Hearken back, if you will, to the days of Emily Dickinson, Alfred Lord Tennyson, Elizabeth Barrett Browning, and William Wordsworth . . . the age of grand bookmaking. Poetry editions were some of the most highly prized volumes because of their intimate attention to detail - quality typography, fine ivory laid paper, and colourful, ornate covers. Mimi, for this edition, we've returned to the traditional size, style, and quality of these classic 19th-century antique poetry books.

Scheduled for release in Spring 2009, Favourite Memories will surely become one of your most treasured keepsakes. Your publication in this edition will establish you as an international author and afford you the respect and admiration attendant to such an honour. The International Copyright notice for your poetic artistry will, of course, be in your name, assuring that you will retain worldwide rights to your work of art.

Best of all, should you decide to obtain a copy of the edition for your personal library, or as a wonderful personalised gift (you are, naturally, under no obligation to purchase a copy - notwithstanding the publication of your work in this edition), as you proudly turn its pages, you'll find it one of the best values on the book market today. At only £22.99 (U.S. $45.55) for a hardbound, 225-page edition printed in two colours on ivory laid vellum, with a finely crafted and highly detailed cover and a single poem to a page, this edition promises to exceed your expectations, and it will enjoy pride of place in your home. In fact, its quality is guaranteed. If for any reason you are dissatisfied, your money will be completely refunded in U.S. dollars with proper dispatch.

Mimi, you may also wish to consider giving the public some insight about you and your artistry for this poetic showcase . . . perhaps the meaning behind your poem, or your own philosophical perspective. Because an entire page in the book is devoted to honouring your poetry, we can feature this additional material about you and your poetry (up to 100 words) on the verso leaf opposite your poem . . . you will thus have two full pages devoted to you and your artistry.

Mimi, may we have permission to publish your work? Regardless of whether you purchase a copy or not, the international public deserves to see more of your artistic talent. You may Submit Your Poem and biographical information, and give us permission, all within the confines of the next page. And if you are inclined to order a copy of Favourite Memories, you may also do so at the same time.

Sincerely,

Nigel Hillary
Publisher, Poetry Division - Noble House U.K.

I accepted! So, in a few months time, I'm going to be an international poet! That's so awesome! SO FREAKING AWESOME! Heh heh heh... I'm so happy!!!

Well, I'm going to quit typing with terrible punctuation and capitalization and go fill out the few things I need to before I send back the forms.

Ciao!

So Much Fun, Fun, Fun, Fun, Fun!

So, I'm a little sad now--most of the snow has melted away... le sigh.

Anyways, I made a wicked snow man today--but then I had to tear it down. You see, it had this beak, but it kept falling off. After about twenty minutes, we (the younger munchkin-twins and I) got the beak to stay and were then debating on what to use for the faces of the snow men we had built in the front yard. Binz and J-Babe decided on the grapes we grow in the back yard.

So, they got some and started putting some in for eyes, buttons, and a mouth, suddenly learning that if you pressed the grapes too hard, they'd pop and leave dark, red liquid behind--they decided to play it off as blush on one of the snowmen--I used it as blood. Moo ha ha!

Well, basically after I finished my snowmanbird (with one bug eye--the other totally sploded with a grape stem sticking out of it with the grape juice trailing down the snowmanbird), my sister, Kat, came outside and saw it--I can't remember if she thought it was disgusting or if she liked it... ah well. Anyways, she went inside and told my step-dad about it--he came out and told me "No blood."

So, obviously, that kinda ticked me off. I mean, he'd just woken up--why couldn't I have my art that'd just melt in a few hours or days? Sure we live in a neighborhood full of little kids--but everybody hates us anyways, so why should we care?

Yeah, I know that's very [insert word of choice here] for me to think/say/type--but it's what I feel.

Well, so, anyways, I went upstairs and into my room and switched back into my pajamas, tell the munchkins they could do whatever they wanted to my snowmanbird--so long as they got rid of the blood.

After that I cooled off and wrote for pretty much the remainder of the day.

Well, that's all that really happened today... so I guess now I'm going to go to bed... night all!

Snow--In October? How Awesome is THAT!

Oh my wowzers--the first snow of the season, and it's only October! I love the snow! I'm totally going to go and get dressed in a minute and tackle my dogs out there on the deck. :P I don't want it to melt! But there's nothing even on the cement anymore...

Can you believe how much snow is outside in my backyard right now? There's at least two inches! And it's the first snow of the season! I'm so happy! Snow is awesome, dude, it's wicked awesome!

Today seems like the perfect day, I woke up to snow--oh! And the weirdest thing also happened when I woke up! Guess what it was?

Okay, I know this is mean of me because I'm not giving you time to guess--but I guessed what time it was--on the dot without taking my head out from under my pillows! I said it was 7:48, and, guess what? The moment I looked up and at the clock, it switched to 7:48! How weird is that?

And, also, my dream last night was so weird. I guess I'll write a little bit about it before I go get some shoes and a better outfit than a pair of shorts and a tanktop before I go play outside with Koda and Breezy.

Okay, so, anyways, in my dream I was four-ish again--too the right is a visual of what I looked like when I was four-ish. (I was such a cute kid, yeah?) Well, like I was saying, in my dream I was four-ish again and I had this little Pembroke Welsh Corgi--and when I say little, I mean, little, little, little--it was about the size of my fist.

Well, in the dream, the Corgi--who I called Rylee--and I went on several adventures--there was one where we fought the evil, miniature Ice Cream Man from the freezer--ooh, he was SO diabolical--there was one where we went fishing with gummi worms and we ended up catching my sisters in a bucket, and the one I woke up in the middle of was when we were going parachuting with swiss-cheese... yeah... I don't think that one would have worked out all too well...

Toodles! I'm going to now go get dressed warmly and play with my dogs in the snow before it melts! Have a good day!

I Don't Know

Second Guessing.

I seem to always find myself second guessing others--say I wave to someone after the bell rings and they smile and wave back. What did that smile mean exactly? Were they mocking me? Was it a smile merely for show and truly they're disgusted with me? Or are they really happy that I waved goodbye to them?

I don't know.

But I want to know.

This is probably my biggest flaw--I'm always searching for the underlying meaning, the foreshadowing. Maybe that's why when a friendship of mine bursts to flames, the relationship that was there can never be rebuilt. Or maybe I'm just a stubborn, conceited, little brat.

I don't know.

But I don't know if I even want to know.

Maybe all people aren't as deep as I perceive them to be. Maybe people don't care what I say in class. Maybe people just flat out don't like me and no matter what I do, nothing will change that.

Maybe, maybe, maybe.

I'm sick of that word--what can you learn from the word maybe?

Possibilities.

It's possible that maybe I often times offend others with the way I act, trying to fit in. It's possible that maybe when I was little, if I hadn't tried to impress certain groups of people, I wouldn't be the nobody I am today. It's possible that maybe for once in my life, I'd be noticed for my strengths--not my flaws.

But, then again, those are possibilities--not facts.

On the last one, being noticed for my strengths and not my flaws--I guess you could say that's sort of hard to do. At school, I don't act the way I truly feel, I just don't. I don't think I have since elementary. When I think back on the friends I had in the third and fourth grades... I realize that those were most likely the only years I was really myself--not loud or quiet, somewhat obnoxious, crazily outgoing, a tad antisocial, making up my own games at recess...

I guess you could say that maybe, if I could, I'd go back and relive my life the way I did then. But I can't--acting the way I used to is a completely foreign universe to me now--it's like a billion light years away.

I don't know.

But, again, I want to know.

I don't know why I always second guess people (and my pets, too... It's rather pathetic of me, actually.), my mama bear and my sisters are probably the only people I rarely second guess. I don't know why I was stupid enough to go and lose the real me, the way I used to be, the way I liked to be.

I don't know.

I probably never will know.

Even though I honestly, honestly want to be the young girl I used to be... I can't. I feel so old, I feel that life is just speeding by and I can't get a hold of it. How can it be that I've been out of elementary for nearly three years? How can it be that I'll be graduating in four? What will I do after school is over with?

I don't know.

I'm trying my hardest to get back to the way I used to be, I honestly am trying my hardest. It's coming easiest in Theater and Show Choir, because, unlike my other classes, it's not out of the ordinary for people just going up and hugging one another--people don't laugh at you when you're ahead of the class.

I don't like second guessing people, I honestly don't. I know I worry too much about what others think about me, and I'm trying my hardest to stop that, slowly (very slowly), it's working--I think.

I don't want this year to end... it's hard to think that after these few years spent at our school, I'll be leaving come next Summer. I don't want summer to arrive--ever. I don't want to have to grow up and leave behind my childhood--I don't want to get any older, I don't want to leave my childhood any farther in the past--is anyone else like that?

Maybe everyone feels like this, I mean, there's a song about the way I feel (Don't Stop Dancing, by Creed), and there's a line that says:

There comes a time in everyones life, when all you can see are the years passing by.

Is the line true? I mean, I think it is--but I don't want it to be true. I don't find happiness in knowing that everyone else is feeling the way I am, it disturbs me. Why does our species have to think like this? To animals think like this?

I don't know.

Well, I think that's enough for now--this blog isn't doing anything really for my mood.

Sayonara.

The Musical So Far...

So, rehearsals for the musical are going great--I've never been the best dancer, but I'm getting the choreography right... well, most of it at least. But it's kind of hard to be practicing partner dances without a partner... Oh well, hopefully my partner will be up on his feet again and will be able to dance by next week... otherwise, the Saturday rehearsal will probably spend a lot of time saying, "June, Francesco (think that's his character's name...), you're doing that wrong! It's like this! Not like that!

May and Kindergarten keep laughing at me because of how ridiculous I look whenever I even attempt the group choreography... Oh well, May's offered to replace Mr. Italiano Francesco, leaving Kindergarten in the dust for me. :P (Don't you just love it when friends act like such door knobs?) But I politely declined and told her that Invisible Man was a good enough dance partner--isn't that right, Mr. Invisible?

Ha ha... yeah, I think I've finally lost all that I had left. No more sanity for me!

I've got some problems with my solo, though... anybody know some choreography I could use for the lines:

"We have no ugly step sisters--or a jealous queen."

Ha--yeah, that's the solo that I'm fretting over. Pathetic, aren't I? Yeah... but I don't want to look totally retarkled for those five seconds of singing... March's choreography... well, October and she are freaking hilarious together!

Well, that's it for now! The guys seem to be doing pretty good (meaning great.), too--love the performance of Chains of Love today--Twitchy and I were laughing our guts out (because of the amazing facial expressions)! Ninja-Man--your solo was wicked!

Okay, now that's really it for now.

C'ya!

Humor Me, Survivor, and CSI

I've recently come to realize that not very many people laugh at my jokes... is it because people find me annoying, or what? I don't know... if that's it--tell me, and I'll stop! I'm sorry if I'm annoying everyone! Yikes! >.<>

Anyways, Survivor just ended and CSI is on now. Survivor was awesome! I'm sad that Jackie (or was it spelled Jaque? I can't remember...) had to go, after all, she did do some mighty convincing before Tribal Council... But Sugar and Ace get to be reunited! Woohoo! They're so cute together--the model and the photographer--they work well together. :P

But CSI... Warrick's dead! Sad, sad, sad, sad! I kind of wonder if that happened just because Gary Dourdan was arrested for drug stuff and all... possibly. Eight years of working on one show and suddenly it's over? That would seriously take some major adjusting to, don't you think?

Well, anyways--I'm going to go back to watching CSI, ciao!

I'm Always Write

Most people who know me know I write--a lot. I write basically twenty-four-seven. When I'm hanging out with friends, I'm plotting. When I'm on an airplane or in a car--I'm describing everything about it in my mind, I often add in--call me a freak--dialog that doesn't really happen. I take the scene other places.

Well, seeing as a writer never really writes anything without having a point, I decided I'd post some of my poems here--a few that I've written over the course of these last three years. The first will be from seventh grade, then eighth, then things I've written this year (which is nothing! Yay!)

:P Well... let's get started! Booyah! XD

~~~SEVENTH GRADE!~~~
Me, Myself, and I
(I've recently had this one published. Yay!)
Me, Myself, and I,
Who else do we need,
Together we fly.
Just Me, Myself, and I.
But on Mondays
Me can't play,
So I turn to Myself,
And I say:
"If Me can't play,
We are no longer three."
But Myself just smiles
And laughs, "Hee hee!"
She does not care.
She does not like Me.
Maybe?
A long time ago,
Maybe I was happy?
Maybe we were happy?
But who were we?
Were we who we are now?
Or some childish clowns?
Did we live out our dreams,
And make it to the big screens?
But what is done
Cannot be changed.
And maybe we never were,
Maybe, just maybe.
~~~EIGHTH GRADE!~~~

Untitled.
Where has all the music gone?

And where is all the sound?
It’s as silent as the dead,
Those who were lost
And never found.

The leafs are quiet,
And the grass is still
It is as silent as the dead,
Those who never returned
And those who never will.

The dead have yet to live.
The living have yet to die.
But it’s fading now,
The sound and all.
Now’s time to cry.

The leafs are quiet,
And the grass is still
It is as silent as the dead,
Those who never returned
And those who never will.

Untitled.
The shore is quiet, still and calming,
it knows not of things to come.

The ocean's restless, listless roaming,
begging to escape from it hold by the Earth.

The waves are crashing, falling, breaking,
the white of innocence upon the shore.

The tide drains out, pulling, sweeping,
dragging away the blood of pain
.

~~~Ninth Grade!~~~
Sadly I haven't really written any poetry yet this year--haven't really had the time or inspiration... le sigh... but the three I have listed above aren't the only ones I've written--they're just some of my favorites. :P
Well... anyways, anybody thing they want to maybe comment? You'll be totally wicked awesome!
Hatahana!
My Stalkers
